Abstract

Multiple-bolt fastenings.-In a multiple-bolt fastening for bulkhead and like doors, T-shaped, links E are attached at one end to lugs D on bolts C and at the other are provided with pins H. which work in a continuous cam-groove J to lock and unlock the door, the bolt on the hinged side of the door preventing the bolts from being shot when the door is open. The bolt N, Fig. 2, passing through the cam-plate K, boss K', and bearing-block M, is secured by the nut O, the camplate being rotated by means of horns P formed on the bolt-head and bearing-block. In addition to guide-straps F and G, flanged angle-brackets V are secured, one at each corner of the door, by integral base-plates V<1>. Wedge pieces U, Fig. 3, attached to the angle-ring R riveted to the bulkhead Q, extend the same width as the bolts to ensure a tight joint.
