Abstract

Tyre-inflating valves; safety-valves.-A device for automatically relieving excessive air pressure in a pneumatic tyre of a motor road vehicle, comprises a flexible diaphragm 3 with an air-chamber 1 on one side for sealing an outlet 15 from a chamber which communicates through a passage 20 with the tyre. When the pressure in the tyre is excessive, the diaphragm is pushed back and outlet 15 uncovered. Air is supplied to the loading-chamber 1 and the tyre through the valve casings 27, 28 respectively, as shown in Fig. 4.
