Bags.-A cycle saddle-bag is provided with an open top, within which is secured a tubular case a containing a spring drum d, to which is secured a saddle-cover c. The case a is provided with side and end plates a<1> by which it is secured to the leather or other saddle-bag b, the front plate being hinged to the case at a<3> and secured to the saddle-bag by an ordinary turn-ring b<1> to allow access to the contents of the bag. The case a is provided with a spring hinged flap a<4>, outside which rests a ring c<3>, which is fastened to the saddle-cover and is adapted to be secured to a hook under the peak of the saddle when the cover is extended. The saddle-cover is provided with side wings, which are folded inwards by means of guide-pieces a<2> on the case a when the saddle-cover is drawn into the case. To allow for removal of the spring drum d, one end of the case a is provided with a removable plug a<5>, which is held in position by a spring a<6> engaging apertures in the end of the case. The plug a<5> receives the flattened end of a fixed spindle d<2> about which the drum d rotates, the ends of a spring d<1> being secured to the spindle and drum respectively.
