Bourdon and elastic-diaphragm gauges, indicating-means for.-A device is provided to enable the maximum pressure of a pulsating pressure system to be observed; it is shown in Fig. 1 applied to a Bourdon-tube gauge.. The vibrations of the pointer 12 are limited to a small arc of movement by means of pins 2 on the gauge-tube 9 engaging slots 3 in links 4. The links can be adjusted by means of a screw 6 and a nut 8, and by such adjustment the arc of free movement of the pointer is traversed across the dial until the vibrations cease, when the lower limit of the free movement will coincide with the maximum pressure.
