Detachable - rim attachments to wheels. - The channel - shaped rim A of a wirespoked wheel which forms a seating for a detachable tyrecarrying rim C is stiffened by sleeves D', into which are screwed bolts which also secure'the rim by means of a flange C' thereon, Inwardly-projecting flanges A<4>, A<3> are formed on the channel edges, and the'base of the rim is concave towards the hub. In a modification, the sleeves D<1> are replaced by solid distance-pieces having screwed stems to receive nuts by which the rim is secured. The flanges and detachable rim may be conical. The detachable rim is of the type described in Specifications 26,619/09 and 2805/10.
