Abstract
8017. Eckford, W. April 2. [Addition to 12,480/09.] Red lead.-Red or orange lead is purified from compounds of other metals such as zinc, copper, or iron and from lead monoxide bv first wholly or partly-removing the lead monoxide by treatment with lead acetate solution and then the other impurities hy treatment with acetic acid. The purified product is washed and dried.
