Carriages.-The thread is wound on the central boss h of a disk g, which is fixed in position over the recessed portion c of the carriage a by suitable detachable fastenings, the ordinary bobbin being dispensed with. The thread proceeds from the outer windings through a hook d on the rear wall of the carriage and through a thread-groove e to the work. The hook d may be attached to a separate plate.
