Abstract

2027. Lebreil, F., and Desgeorge, R. Jan. 27, 1909, [Convention date]. Casein is mixed with acetone and heated under pressure, after which the mixture is projected into water through fine orifices in the bottom of the autoclave. The casein may be preliminarily treated in the same manner with nitric acid, benzene, &c. The final product may be treated with formaldehyde, and may be mixed with metallic oxides, or other substances to give colour, or any desired properties. The Specification in the original form, as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a), describes also the use of acetones other than acetone, and their homologues and derivatives ; this subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
