Abstract
30,312. Gascoigne, G. H., and United Kingdom Fireproofing Co. Dec. 28. Rod couplings. - Concrete reinforcing-bars e, Fig. 3, are connected by means of two short tubes, which are secured together or integral with one another and closed at opposite ends. The bars may be fixed in the tubes by keys f. Adjacent joints are connected by a wire passed through a hole n. For alined bars, a socket, Fig. 4, with a central stop h, is used. According to the Provisional Specification, the jointing- member may fit over any number of rods.
