Abstract

29,804. Stanbridge, H. Dec. 21. Vice.-A parallel vice is provided with a groove a<2> in the side of the body to receive a dovetail slide B carrying a central clamping- screw C. A nut for the screw C is mounted in the body. The slide is provided with a laterally projecting boss b<2> having a hole b<3> arranged centrally with the body to receive the trunnion d<1> of the swivel jaw D, which may be plain or V-shaped. The jaw D may be fixed by a pin d<2>. The screw C is retained in the slide by a collar c<3> and screwed gland c<2>. Specification 26,879/07, is referred to.
