Abstract

28,823. Jensco, M. Dec. 9. Slipping, preventing, attachments to wheels for. - Tubular extensions 14 are secured on the hubs of the driving - wheels by U-bolts, clips, &c. 16 engaging the spokes 5, and sliding thereon are sleeves 12 to which are pivoted links 11 jointed to pointed rods 7 sliding in guides 8, attached by clips 10 to. the outer ends of the spokes. The rods 7 are brought into contact with, or withdrawn from, the road by sliding the sleeves 12 by means of levers 21, which are pivoted to brackets 22 at the sides of the vehicle and are actuated simultaneously on both sides of the vehicle by the driver through a lever and a system of links. The links 11 may be resiliently connected to the sleeves 12, so that the rods 7 yield on striking stones &c. on the road.
