Abstract
28,766. Findlay, J. A. Dec. 9. Landing - nooses. - A landing-noose comprises a rigid handle A in combination with a flexible cord C, one end of which is permanently attached to the handle A while the other end is provided with a ring d adapted to pass over the handle A, so as to form the cord into a slip-noose. A spring B forms a continuation of the handle A and serves, when bent, to hold the noose distended, and a latch E retains the ring d in the ' set ' position when the noose is thus distended. A manually-operated trigger-device F releases the latch at will, when the ring d slides off the end of the spring B and forms a slip-noose to hold the fish.
