[Cognate Application, 10,921/10.] Atmospheric vapour burners; vaporizing- apparatus; vapour supply. - In a liquid-fuel burner of the type specified in Specification 4132/09, one of the burner jets A formed in a series of detachable pieces separately and independently fixed to the mixing-chamber H, is utilized as a pilot burner by partitioning off a secondary chamber D theiefor, and providing it with an independent fuel-nozzle E and vaporizer e supplied with oil from the main burner supply. A channel a, formed in the top plate b of the mixing - chamber, acts as a starting-cup. To prevent clogging of the nozzle E, the device described in Specification 4131/09, may be used, or, as an alternative, the vaporized paraffin may be converted into a permanent gas by passing it first through a red-hot retort L, Fig. 4, and then through a combined cooling-apparatus and purifier M.
