Driving and like chains with separate joint pins for heavy loads are formed with projections B, Fig. 2, on the single links A, which engage with inwardly-turned lugs E on the half-links D, so as to lessen strain and wear on the pins F. Fig. 4 shows a modification, in which the projection E completely surrounds the enlargement B, whereby dust is excluded.
