Abstract

24,138. Wilson, W. J.. and Wilson, A. Oct. 21. Brazing.-A jig for use in building and brazing front forks for cycles &c. consists of a frame A having a raised portion a<1> at one end adapted to hold the stem of the fork by a screw C and a bearing d, and at the other end a setscrew h and guides f, wherebv a member E figed to the frame at g can be adjusted. The member E has an adjustable bearing at its outer end adapted to receive the ends of the forks B, which are centred in the bearing by conical bolts j, and held in correct relative position by a bar l and bearing k pivoted to the frame of the jig. The member E may be dispensed with and the frame A made of sufficient length, or the bearing k may be pivoted to the member E, or the member E pivoted to the frame, and the frame may be so shaped as to accommodate the fork in any position.
