Abstract

21,208. Lacroix, E. Sept. 16. Screw motors.-One or more screw turbine wheels 2 are mounted upon a shaft 1, and are acted upon by a fluid stream without the aid of fired guide-vanes. A non-rotatable directing- cone 3 encloses the shaft, and is situated immediately in front of the first wheel. The whole may be enclosed in a casing 4, which, in the case of multiple wheels, is provided with a diverging outlet.
