Metallic spring bodies and cores.-Relates to tyres of the kind in which circumferential steel strips B are riveted to radially-disposed steel rings A, in which are secured radial helical springs H. Six strips are used. At one end, Fig. 3, a ring C of double width is riveted inside the ring A and fits inside the ring D at the other end, Fig. 5. The inner strip E is left unattached, and the rings C, D, are secured together by bolts with countersunk heads at each side F of the outermost strip B. Four equidistant holes are bored in the rim and strip E, one passing through the rings C, D. Bolts are passed through the tyre and rim, and, after insertion of the edges of the cover, the nuts are tightened.
