Abstract
17,127. Muchka, J. July 22. Separators.-The corrugated plates of apparatus for removing oil from steam, or water from gases and vapours, are formed with the angles of the corrugations increasing in magnitude towards the outlet end of the apparatus, as shown in Fig. 3. Curved perforated plates 1 are fitted in the angles to form channels for the separated oil &c. The corrugated plates are arranged in groups both transversely and longitudinally in the casing, as shown in Fig. 2, comparatively large spaces being left between the longitudinally-arranged groups. The rear ends of the plates are turned over to prevent any oil &c. on the plates from re-entering the steam &c. current.
