17,054. Settle, T. A. July 22. No Patent granted (Sealing fec nut paid). Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and helical springs. - A n inner tubular rim B, formed with a continuous slot, contains helical springs F separating the ends of radial rods C, the springs being secured at their centres to the tube B. Pistons secured to the rods engage helical springs enclosed in cylinders secured to an outer rim E. The inner end of each rod is formed with projections which keep it inside the tube B. The construction may be applied to the centre of a cycle wheel, the spokes being secured to the rim E, or to a heavy wheel, in which case the tube B is connected to the hub by spokes and the outer rim carries the tyre.
