Abstract

15,030. Waite, F., and Waite & Saville. June 28. Inking-apparatus.-Inking-rollers 3 are tripped by two vertically-sliding frames 5 operated by cams 9 and a hand-lever 11. The frames carry adjustable screws 12, which support each rocking bearing 13 separately and allow independent adjustment of the pressure between the inking-rollers 3 and forme cylinder 2. The intermediate inking - rollers 4, Fig. 3, are made readily removable by being mounted in half bearings 15 on the end of spring- pressed rods 17 sliding in swivelliug bl ocks 18 mounted on the machine frame. A pivoted catch 20 engaging a recess in the rod 17, holds it when it is drawn back to allow of removal of the roller A.
