Water-tube boilers; tubes water.-The helical baffles, which are fitted to water - tubes to facilitate circulation, are made in sections jointed or connected together to render them flexible. Their insertion into tubes not directly accessible, as in the generator described in Specification 26,330/08, is thus facilitated. Fig. 2 shows the sections j ointed together by wire lacing B, the whole forming one continuous strip supported, for example, by a pin P within the tube. In a modification, Fig. 3, the sections are connected by webs Q<1>.
