Single - trigger mechanisms. - Relates to single-trigger double-barrel sporting-guns of the type in which the trigger 3, Fig. 3, carries a pivoted catch 4, Figs. 2 and 3, with arms projecting on either side, and a spring-actuated sliding plunger 11, which co-operates with inclined projections in front of the catch to retain the catch in either extreme position, sliding members 6 controlled by spiral springs 8 being provided on either side of the trigger, and such members being actuated by the fall of the hammers 7 to push the catch over from beneath one sear to a position beneath the opposite sear, and a hand-lever being also provided on the underside of the gun to set the catch to fire right-left or left-right at will. According to the present invention, in such guns a roller 12 is provided at the nose of the plunger 11, and the pivoted catch 4 has at its lower end a lever 5 by which the catch is set to fire either barrel first. The mechanism 13 to prevent involuntary firing of the second barrel is of known type.
