10,690. Robertson, D. May 5. Feeding sheets &c.-Relates to a post-marking or like machine of the rotary type in which the letters &c. are fed on edge. According to the present invention two piles may be dealt with simultaneously. A central impression roller a engages with two printing-rollers b, b<1> on opposite sides, and marks the letters fed by friction rollers d, d'. The rotary stackers e, e<1>, as well as stacking their respective piles of marked letters &c., also act as feeders for the opposite piles. More than one letter at a time is prevented from passing to the printing-devices by a friction retainer, comprising an eccentrically-pivoted disk g pressed towards the roller d or d<1> by a spring g<1>. The frame b<4> carrying the printing and inking rollers is in each case pivotally mounted, so that the pressure between the printing and impression rollers may be adjusted by means of a device b<6>.
