10,391. Geary, I. May 1. Neck-tie retainers; studs.-A neck-tie retainer comprises a plate f, Fig. 3, sewn to the tie and having a pin or tongue e which is passed into a hollow stud a, Fig. 2. The stud is flat or elliptical to prevent turning in the button-holes, and has one or more holes c in its shank to receive a knob d on the tongue e, which is provided with a spring piece e<1> to force the knob d into the hole c. The plate f may be variously shaped, and may have the tie attached by stitching or by being tied thereon. It may comprise a bar f, Fig. 5, having hooks f<1> which engage over the band of the neck-tie when it has been secured to the collar.
