10,379. Sollitt, G. May 1. Window blinds.- A venetian blind, of the kind that is raised and lowered by means of a spring roller 12 is provided with metal tapes 8 passing through slots in the laths and attached to the bottom lath, a n d winding on pulleys 11 attached to the spring roller. The metal tapes 8 are guided between rollers 10, 10<a> mounted in brackets 5<a>, and pass between loops of tape 4<a>, 4<b>, carried by pulleys 5, 6 on the same brackets and supporting the laths. The inclination of the laths is adjusted by means of a cord 14 passing over a pulley 13 on the top lath and a pulley 15 on the spindle of a rotatable knob 16, which is adjustable vertically on a rack 19 by means of projections 16<c> held in engagement with the rack by a spring 16<b>.
