Abstract

190,898. Jackson, Ltd., J. G., and Jackson, J. G. Dec. 13, 1921. Filling materials into packages.-Relates to a device for controlling the delivery of materials for charging packages. A tube A of woven fabric is attached at its upper end to a hopper B and at its lower end to a tube C. The tube C is capable of being partly rotated by a cord G, being held in position by a guide D and bearing wheel E, so as to distort the tube A into the position shown in Fig. 2 and to stop or control the feed. The tube A may be rotated at either or both ends, and may be rectangular, polygonal or undulating in cross-section. The axis of the device may be horizontal. The apparatus may be used in conjunction with weighing apparatus.
