Abstract

190,865. Pfunder, E. L. Nov. 14, 1921. Chucks.-The body 1 of a collet chuck is secured by screws to a sleeve 3 and is provided with a bevelled socket 5 accommodating a three jaw spring collet 7, Fig. 3. The ends of the jaws are engaged by the flange 11 of a non- rotary screwed ring 10 which is moved axially to open and close the jaws by means of a ring 12 rotated by a toothed key 16 and held against axial movement by balls 13.
