Racks.-The article is retained between the arcshaped depressions of a pair of plates 8, 9, slidably mounted on arms 4, between the resilient members or springs 7 and the heads 5 of the arms. The arms 4 of a series of racks are preferably threaded to engage adjustably nuts &c. 6 securing them to the plate 1, and the heads 5 may be provided with slits or openings to facilitate turning them. The plate 9 has a lip or cut-away part 10 to allow it to be swung from engagement with the head of the arm to release the article.
