Hand-bags.-Cardboard boxes or cartons for chocolate &c. are formed preferably with one side only open for giving access to the interior, flaps b, c being provided for closing the side. To the flap b are secured the ends of a ribbon or other handle d, which passes through apertures e or through tongue-pieces or slits in the adjacent flap c, or as shown in modifications, also through the adjacent sides or ends of the box. The ends of the ribbon are secured to the lower flap at one side of the opening, so that the flaps close together automatically when the box is lifted by the handle. The ribbon &c. may be folded around the box and held in position by a paper seal.
