Electric-fluid turbines.-Injury due to insufficient clearance of the blades is prevented by cutting away parts of the distance-pieces to allow the upper portion of the blade root to bend with the blade. The blades 1 of phosphor-bronze are formed with a flat part 7 between the blade proper and the dovetailed part 2 which is secured in a groove between distance-pieces 8. These are shaped with an oblique surface 10, thereby leaving a space for the blade to bend as shown by the dotted lines.
