Motor road vehicles.-The resistance of the supporting-springs is regulated by a cylinder and piston device, Fig. 1, having inlet and delivery valves i, j, which pumps air on the upward movement of the axle relatively to the frame into a receiver connected to the pipe k. A pressure gauge and adjustable blow-off valve under the control of the driver are connected to the receiver by a pipe. The compressed air may be led into an auxiliary receiver and used for any required purpose. The piston may be connected to the axle by a spring.
