Abstract

18,411. Gibson, G. O., and Burnell, W. Sept. 2. Razors.-The scales A, A<1> are detachably connected at the outer ends by means of a glovefastener D so that they may be disconnected for the purpose of cleaning. A stop projecting from one scale prevents the blade from entering too far into the handle and forcing the scales apart. This stop E may be fixed on a sliding plate F, which has a slot engaging the pin G on one of the scales, and projects on both sides of the plate. When the blade is closed, the stop engages with the hole H. In the open position of the blade, the stop enters the hole H<1> and also a hole J in the shank of the blade, which is thus held for the purpose of stropping.
