17,790. Bradbury, J. F. Aug. 25. Drawings to Specification. Gins.-The disks that are threaded on to a spindle to form a ginning-roller comprise layers of loosely-woven jute canvas backed on one or both sides by paper, so that, as the roller wears, the cross-strands of the canvas maintain a rough surface. End disks of leather are employed to strengthen the roller, or the canvas disks may be interspaced with and cemented to disks of leather. According to the Provisional Specification, layers of hair-cloth, fibre, wire-gauze, &c. may be used in place of the jute canvas.
