Setting and withdrawing appliances.-Tbe handle of a baker's peel is locked to the head automatically by means of springs a<1> and a tongue a2 attached to the handle a and adapted to slide in a groove b<1> formed in a socket in the h e a d b. When the handle is pushed into the head the springs expand into the circular hole b<2>, so locking the Landle and head together. The handle is freed by compressing the springs.
