12,121. Griffiths, W. June 4. Self-feeding brushes.- The heads of self-feeding brushes for cleaning windows, carriages, &c. are formed in balves, between which is interposed a rubber band. The bristles are carried by a perforated metal piece a<1>, Fig. 3, fixed to an upper metal piece a' by means of screws a<6>. A rubber band a' makes the joint tight and projects outwards and prevents the head from damaging the object cleaned. The hose-pipe may be attached by means of an interchangeable tube which may be of metal, or bamboo having a flexible or other metal lining, and is provided with a handle and cock. According to the Provisional Specification, a wooden stock carrying the bristles is attached to a chambered metal back.
