3087. Malkiel, M. Feb. 11. Incandescent vapour lamps.-In a vapour lamp in which the oil is fed from the reservoir 1 by gravity, the vaporizer 4 rises above the level of the oil in the reservoir and terminates in a downwardly projecting nipple 5 below the imperforate globe-holder 8 and opposite the mixing-tube 16. The starting-device comprises a disk 7 round the top of the burner, and the draught chimney 11 fits tightly on the globe.
