Steam, supplying.-In the furnace of an externally-fired boiler, steam is supplied for smoke-consuming and draught-inducing purposes through one or more pipes arranged at or about the level of the water in the boiler. When two boilers are heated by one furnace, a single pipe is fitted, while for single boilers, two are provided.
