Stoppers, screw.-Relates to a screw stopper of the type in which a yielding washer c is held in an annular recess in the underside of the head, which is provided with a depending flange b<2>. According to the present invention, the washer c, Fig. 3, has an annular ridge c<1> to allow the bottle to be stoppered both upon the top and inside of the neck, and a greased wafer d is arranged as shown to reduce the friction between the washer and the stopper.
