Abstract
27,206. Josling, H. W. E. Dec. 9. Bottles, non-refillable.-Relates to a modification in the shape and materials described in Specification No. 3660, A.D. 1906. A liner d, Fig. 1, for insertion in the neck of a bottle, may be made of glass, but preferably is made of a mixture of ground glass and kaolin, as are the valve details, so as to ensure lightness, the specific gravity of the parts being slightly above that of the contents of the bottle. Within the liner is a valve f, Fig. 11, cut away as shown so as to act more readily. Above the valve is a ring 8, Fig. 1, and a slider 6, which is cut away at the sides 7, as shown in plan in Fig. 8, so as to give a tortuous passage to the liquid from the valve, through the ring and past the slider. The upper end of the liner is made funnel-shaped. The valve-seat is made "true," and consists of a ring as shown. The top of the liner is provided with a cork packing-disk b, Fig. 5, and a cap c.
