The die e, Fig. 2, provided with cover rings f to prevent the scale from reaching the bearings, is carried by a frame having adjusting flanges k and screws l, and is rotated by a toothed wheel i on the shaft b. The flanges may have any form suitable for purposes of adjustment. In Fig. 3 is shown an arrangement of four dies or annular rolls which act on the tube m, the shafts b being conveniently driven from a single pinion.
