An air-tight bearing for the crank-shafts of internal - combustion engines in which the crauk casing is tightly closed comprises a bushing made in two parts b, c, which are pressed against the shaft a by screws e, f. Each bushing has a surface g pressed by screws i tightly against a surface h on the wall d of the crank casing. In a modification, the surfaces g, h are arranged at the outer end of the projecting part of the crank casing, and on the flange on the bushing.
