Abstract

23,200. Imray, O., [Kaltschmid, C., (Firm of)]. Oct. 21. . Vaporizing apparatus. -In atmospheric vapour burners in which the vaporizer is a straight tube passing through the burner head, heat being conducted to it by a metallic conductor attached to it alone, the conductor is so constructed that it does not project above the burner head. The conductor consists of a plate e of copper or other metal, which may be perforated, attached to the vaporizer b by a bar d, and situated within the annular burner head c. It is heated by flames from a ring of jets g within the burner head c, an external ring f directly heating any vessel placed above.
