Abstract

20,981. Hoffknecht. H. Sept. 21. No Patent granted (Sealingfee not paid). Calliper gauges.-Transverse marking-ledges c, k are adjustably mounted on a clipper gauge adapted to be used for marking out keyways and the like. The cutting-edges of these ledges are arranged so as to be always parallel to, and in alinement with, the inner faces of the jaws m, l of the gauge. The movable jaw l carries a pointer d, operating in conjunction with a scale, and a projection i to which the marking-ledge k is attached. The movable jaw can be fixed in any position on the gauge by means of a screw g. By the aid of the gauge m, l, the proper setting of the ledges for marking the required keyway or the like can be made without using the scale.
