Tobacco pipes etc.; smokers' combination articles.- A box or casing a is arranged to contain a tobacco pipe, cigar, &c. while being smoked, the box meanwhile being carried in the pocket. As shown in Fig. 1, the tobacco-pipe bowl c is arranged in a chamber d and has a mouthpiece i and an indiarubber flexible stem g which, when not in use, is coiled up in the chamber j, as shown in Fig. 5. The flexible stem may be connected to the bowl by means of a small ivory, bone, metal, or like tube x, Fig. 2, which passes through a cork y fitted to the bowl. Perforations below the cap k admit air to the box. When desired, the box may rest on a table &c., and the pipe or cigar &c. holder be held by a suitable clip l, the open lid b serving as an ash-tray. The box may be provided with means such as a spring v, Figs. 1 and 2, whereby the bowl &c. is caused to assume an upright position when the box is opened. Fig. 5 shows a box arranged to contain a tobacco pipe, cigar,' or cigarette, tobacco, and matches, the holder o being held by a clip s and the cigar or cigarette being supported by partitions n. If desired, a cleaning- wire, tobacco stopper, &c. may be enclosed. Compartments may also be provided for containing a supply of cigars or cigarettes and folding or other windguards for enabling the pipe &c. to be easily lighted.
