Mangling and wringing machines.-In a mangling or wringing machine which may be inverted without removal of any part, the upper frame a carrying the rollers is swivelled upon a bar g and is raised or lowered by means of worm gearing o, n. The worm-wheel n may be attached directly to the frame a; or, as shown, it may operate, through a pinion m, a spur-wheel k secured to the frame a. In the erect position, the mangle is supported by an enlarged tooth k<2> and a projection on the frame a bearing on lugs formed on the lower framework h, which is also provided with a slot h<1> to accommodate the driving-shaft so that the mangle may be operated when in its inverted position. The main framework may, when the mangle is inverted, support a cover whereby the whole may act as a table.
