Abstract
13,863. Clyne, J. B. June 15. Turrets.-In order that the turret of an automatic screw-machine may be advanced to different extents when different tools are in operation, it is provided with a number of screws f, one for each tool, carrying nuts h engaged by a projection m on a slide i; which is reciprocated a fixed amount by means of a roller k and a cam. The slide i carries a ratchet-rack o and the turret-slide b a pawl n which serve to withdraw the turret, the pawl being disengaged on contacting with a stop r at the end of the return of the turret. An arm y on a shaft z carries a pin w for rotating the turret a and a cam z for withdrawing the locking-pin s.
