Coders. - A suitablyshaped piece of steel or other metal is folded so that the two portions 1, 2 fit together to form a cylindrical tail. The extremities 5, 6 are folded back at 3, 4 so as to clip the bolt 7 or other part to be fixed. The cotter may be removed an d applied by pressure alone, but the portions 5, 6 are sufficiently strong to prevent accidental detachment.
