11,401. Richardson, F. May 15. Traps, dip-plate, for baths, lavatory basins, sinks, waste and overflow pipes, &c. The plug L or removable grating K is formed with a curved dipplate J which fits water-tight against the trap side. To keep the plate J in place, the trap is formed with a shoulder M to abut against the sides of the plate. Where there is no connexion to an overflow, the shoulder M is done away with and the plate J extends all round the trap. A form modified for use in pipes is shown in Fig. 6. The material of the trap may be metal, glass, earthenware, vulcanite, or the like.
