Abstract

9115. Gandolfi, L. April 19. Fastenings, clamp. Relates chiefly to, and is described with reference to, photographic cameras, but is stated to be generally applicable. The sliding front t of the camera is provided with a revoluble screw-threaded sleeve B held in place by a plate spring D and adapted to receive the screwed bolt A, the lower end of which is provided with a head engaging the guiding-slot K in the camera base. The bolt A is prevented from turning by a square part on its shank, so that, when the sleeve B is turned by means of the handle C, the bolt is drawn upwards so as to clamp the camera front to the Lase securely. The spring D prevents the sleeve from rising and thus keeps the head of the bolt from interfering with the sliding motion of the camera front when unclamped.
