Abstract

8170. Ridderhof, C. April 13, 1906, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Drilling. - Multiple - spindle turret drilling- machines have adjustable friction driving-gear arranged so that only the spindle is driven that is over the work-table. The spindles D, Fig. 1, are splined in friction wheels D<1> adjustably mounted at d and engaging idler disks G carried by the turret B. The driving-wheel E is eccentrically arranged as shown. The turret is retained on the pillar by a nut and set-screw a<11>, is supported by a ball bearing b, and is indexed at c. The spindles may carry drills of different size.
